The Mission

Disclaimer: I am a cisfemale with mostly heterosexual experiences in my sex life. Although I try to be gender neutral, and as inclusive as possible, I will have my slip ups. If you see something that can be alienating or offensive, I encourage you to let me know so I can learn as I go along.

This blog was spurred on by a sudden realization. After my university began promoting sexual positivity through holding events during Sexual Awareness week, it was featured in our city-based papers. The negative response that my peers started flooding in absolutely appalled me. I realized then that there was no education that was sex positive, and we live in an age where we are still sexually repressed.

I am now a volunteer at my university's Sexual Education Centre and am starting to turn my studies towards Sexual Diversity.

I want to promote sexual expression, exploration and positivity through education. I want people to understand sexual acts, and know that it isn't wrong. We don't have to feel shame any longer for feeling pleasure.

I was educated by such inspirational people such as Laci Green, Jill McDevitt and Dr Lindsey Doe that I should not be ashamed. I did not have to guilt myself for who I was and for what I enjoy. This is such a relevant struggle right now, and we have to keep fighting to make progress. This is not healthy.

Sexuality is healthy, repression is not.
